Women For Others

At my school something we have always been taught is to be men and women for others. This act may seem small, but is a big part of my life and something I try to encourage others to follow. Feminism is a term that is often looked down upon and harshly judged. To me the idea of feminism is fighting for the equal rights of men and women. Today a large part of feminism encompasses the idea of women supporting women. In the early 1900's it was the right for women to vote. In the 1960s and 1970s it was the fight for women's liberation and the equal rights amendment. In my opinion a true women for others fights for equality, supports everyone around her, and stands for her beliefs. Are you a man or woman for others? How can you be one today?
